Kyriah Dee -Turn Around- Press Release

Out of Ireland, a flicker of hope and excitement emerges as one of the most distinct and powerful voices from the upcoming Irish urban music scene with her debut single “Turn Around”. Zimbabwean bred Samantha Boka, Kyriah Dee (pronounced Key-ra-ya) has left various crowds in awe, winning competitions and performing at major events like Kirk Franklin Live in Concert. Now she breaks forth into the Mainstream scene with her Pop single bound to shake the clubs, and make waves on TVs and Radio.

The funk/pop instrumental produced by Chris Kabs is reminiscent of Earth Wind and Fire’s track September garnished with strong brass and bass presence. Kyriah’s vocals on this track, a radical mix of Tina Turner’s power, range & fearlessness, Erykah Badu’s jazz articulation and Angelique Kidjo’s rich Afro-centric elements, places a unique stamp on the 23 year old song bird. Lyrically the song personifies the singer’s positive nature through the storms she has faced in her life. It is a message of hope that motivates by reminding us all to be grateful for what we do have rather than what we don’t.

If this uplifting message was not timely enough perhaps her chosen release date 1/1/11  might swoon you into 2011 with a brighter attitude. Turn Around will be released by an Independent  production and management entity  A.B.R.A Records under parent company A.B.R.A Tribe whose C.E.O is Multi Award winning African Dancehall Artist and Producer Jusa Dementor. Jusa, the Jack of many trades also shot and edited the Turn Around music video which will be available on worldwide platforms. “The team (A.B.R.A Tribe) has been working on mentoring Kyriah for over 2 years now, and we are happy to be presenting to the world this song which is everything we stand on, and hopefully in future we can say our artist has started a wave of positive change with our help” said the C.E.O.

Although she is originally from Zimbabwe, Kyriah has lived in Ireland since early 2002. From singing since the age of 16 in her local church, the budding star has now made a name for herself as quite the vocal performer. Her management has hinted that they are organising a tour  following the success of her debut single. Turn Around will be available on iTunes on 1//1/11.
